Interview with Cr Teti
Why did you run for Council?
To bring about a change in the direction at Council. Our council must do the basics well first, in order to then make progress in other areas. I would like to be part of a back to basics campaign throughout our entire community.
What do you see as the top five issues facing Council over the next four years?
- Cleansing our city from litter, rubbish, and graffiti to restore our civic pride.
- The desperate need to maintain and upgrade roads, footpaths and community facilities.
- Council needs to keep rates as low as possible in these trying times.
- Struggling pensioners and seniors will need quality tailored Council services to prevent social isolation and encourage active lifestyles.
- Vigilant maintenance of trees and shrubs to stop them from overgrowing.
Name three things you want this Council to achieve in the next four years
- A safe and clean city
- Renewed and upgraded roads and footpaths
- Improved social services that serve residents to improve their quality of life - particularly our seniors.
What is your vision for Moreland?
A council defined by fairness and decency through delivering high quality services and community facilities whilst eliminating wasteful Council spending.
What are you main interests outside Council?
