Achievement grants
Achievement grants give financial assistance to residents of Moreland to pursue achievements in their chosen area of expertise. This may include, but is not limited to, significant sporting competitions, academic and artistic endeavours.
Amounts available
- Up to $250 for state level competition and activities.
- Up to $350 for national level competition and activities.
- Up to $500 for international level competition and activities.
Application dates
Any time during the financial year until funds are expended.
Duration
You can apply for one Achievement grant every 24 months. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously applied.
Eligibility criteria
- Individuals are eligible who are Moreland resident. (photo proof required, i.e. drivers licence, or equivelant)
- Participation in state, national and international endeavours or within recognised state or national associations.
- Applicants which demonstrate financial hardship with health care card evidence provided to Council. (copy of card must be supplied)
- Applicants who have demonstrated a strong commitment to their area of endeavour and can demonstrate a high level of achievement.
- Applicants which demonstrate formal recognition by an accredited State, National or International Association of their selection to represent on a the State, National or International level. (copy of letter from recognised association must be submitted)
- Proof of costs associated with attending the event must be supplied with application.
- Groups, schools or individual participation in school based endeavours will not be funded.
