Parking - look for the signs
The majority of parking fines issued by Council Officers could be prevented if drivers read parking signage correctly and kept track of the time they parked their car.
You should always read parking signs from the top down as this will provide you with all the information you need.
Red signs are safety related – e.g. clearways and no stopping zones. Restrictions of parking in these areas are designed to prevent accidents and ensure safety for all.
Green signs are about access to local services and businesses, and ensure that there is equal access to parking for all.
