Placing your bins at kerbside
It is important to place your bins correctly at the kerb.
- Ensure your bin is not over-flowing (you must be able to close the lid of your bin).
- Ensure your bin is at least 30 cm from other objects, such as trees, parked cars or other bins.
- Ensure your bins are put out the night before each collection and brought in within 24 hours of being collected.
- Do not park your car in front of bins on collection days.
- Ensure you are putting the correct items in each bin (see pages 15–18 to find out what goes where).
- Make sure your bin is not over the 30kg weight limit.
