Council endeavours to provide its residents with timely and efficient service and we generally achieve this for our 67,700 residences. If we find an error or misunderstanding, we seek to fix it as soon as possible.

Currently residents can obtain a green waste bin with a $55 one-off up-front fee and once payment is received the bin is delivered within 24 hours.  This service is extended to renters and owners.

Our records indicate that the property in question was originally 53 Murray Street Brunswick which was subdivided into units. The confusion surrounded the location of the units on our system, which actually places them on Duggan Street. This has now been rectified and Council officers have spoken to the resident to ensure the matter was resolved.

Our investigation showed that the resident concerned was not listed as having paid for a green waste bin. If a green waste bin is required we encourage the resident to make the one-off payment and register himself as the owner of the bin. The resident will then receive the bin within 24 hours and ensure that all future enquiries are attended to as quickly as possible.
