Brunswick property owners encouraged to get up to speed

Media Statement from Cr Stella Kariofyllidis, Mayor of Moreland
Wednesday 24 November 2010, Moreland City Council

Moreland City Council fully supports the roll out of infrastructure that improves technology and services to our community.

Brunswick is one of the First Release Sites for the Australian Government’s National Broadband Network and residents in the chosen area have the opportunity to make take up a free standard fibre optic installation that will make their home ready for when the service is available.

"We are all excited about being one of the first communities to get access to high speed internet and Council encourages property owners to take up the free installation."

"In an inner urban community like Brunswick where there is a high number of renters, getting consent from the property owners can be challenging but the message is getting out there that this new technology is the way of the future."

"If you own a property in the Brunswick release site it is definitely in your interest to take up the free installation. Having modern infrastructure linked to your property will save you money in the future and keep you or your renters happy."

NBN Co is still accepting letters of consent for the free connection offer make sure you respond as soon as possible.
