Keeping Moreland beautiful

Council congratulates Brunswick resident group the Friends of Moreland Street Gardens on their pro-active approach to public areas, particularly with respect to care and maintenance of street trees, and weeding and planting of vacant spaces.

Council has already indicated that it will provide support in the form of plants; mulch and rubbish removal and Officers are currently in discussion with representatives of the Friends of Moreland Street Gardens to determine the best way forward to make this community building initiative a reality.

We also congratulate the Moreland Leader for taking on the campaign and encourage the rest of the community to get involved in the aptly named adopt-a-tree campaign by sharing ideas that will assist the initiative or by putting on their work gear and help Council keep Moreland beautiful.
