Council tries to make sure people with a disability can find and use all Council services and information.
Disability awareness training
Council staff have disability awareness training so that they are aware of the communication issues people with a disability may face.
Council’s Telephone Typewriter (TTY)
This telephone helps people with a hearing impairment to contact Council.
The TTY number is 9240 2256.
A person with a TTY at home or work can communicate with Council staff.
Moreland’s leisure centres and pools
All leisure centres and swimming pools in Moreland are accessible to people with a disability. Some leisure centres have accessible gym equipment.

Moreland City Council’s website has the second highest rating, Level AA, of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. It also meets the requirements of the Victorian government and the 1992 Disability Discrimination Act. The website’s Accessibility Statement describes the accessibility features.
