A baby capsule is a special car seat for babies.
By law, babies and children must be properly restrained in a car. The car seat should suit the child's size and weight.
Hire a baby capsule
Moreland residents can hire a baby capsule through Council's service provider, Maxam Baby Capsule Hire. Call Maxam on 1300 885 645 to hire a baby capsule.
We suggest you book three months in advance.
Costs
- Six month hire cost is $80. A bond of $30 which is refunded when you return the baby capsule to the service provider, and
- Up to four weeks hire cost is $38.50. There is a refundable bond of $55.

Phone Maxam on 1300 885 645 to make an appointment before you collect or return the baby capsule. Maxam also hire out other baby equipment.
