Family Violence Network
The Moreland Family Violence Network is a group of government and non-government professionals who represent Moreland service providers. The Network undertakes community activities to raise awareness of family violence in the Moreland community and address issues related to service provision.
Formed in 1992, the network has been involved in a number of programs such as:
- Women and Men’s Help Cards
- Women’s and Men’s Help Stickers for toilet doors
- The Clothesline Project
- International Women’s Day activities
- Community Safety Week events, and
- Acting as a reference group for development of Council policies on family violence.
Purpose of the network
To coordinate a partnership approach to raise awareness of family violence within the Moreland community, to promote respect and equity and to advocate on behalf of our clients.

The network and its members
Members participate by attending meetings, planning projects, assisting in consultation and sharing information that assists service providers attending the network.
