Youth advisory and action committees

Youth Action Committee

The Youth Action Committee is a group of young people that work towards putting the recommendations of the Moreland Youth Summit into action.

Members of Youth Action Committee research, develop and run initiatives for young people that reflect the recommendations from the Youth Summit.

Council Youth Services staff, other Council and community staff work with the Committee to organise the events and programs.

Youth Action Committee members

The Youth Action Committee consists of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 young people aged between 12 and 25 years old  who live, study, work or do recreation in Moreland. 

Members work in the Committee for between 12 and 18 months.
