Active Kids
This unique gym, fitness, aquatic and games program is designed specifically for younger children aged 6 to 12 years old. It is a safe and fully supervised exercise program conducted by fitness professionals.
Currently there are two sessions per week which are fully supervised, with lots of fun programs, which encourages an active lifestyle with a healthy diet while developing endurance, flexibility, strength, coordination and fitness.
Medical clearance is also required for children with serious illness.
Kids who are active will:
- have stronger muscles and bones
- have a leaner body as exercise helps to control fat
- be less likely to become overweight
- decrease the risk of developing type 2 diabetes
- have a better outlook on life
- sleep better, and
- able to handle the physical and emotional challenges of a typical day.
When
Monday and Fridays 4 pm - 5 pm
All children must arrive at 3.50 pm
Cost
$6.80 per session
What to bring
Correct sports attire is required in the group fitness room, such as runners, shorts, t-shirt.
Children must bring a hand towel and water bottle.
